I honestly doubt I would have noticed it, if the included promotional materials didn't mention, " The exterior of the cans turn an eerie shade of slime green when the product inside is cold." But hey, maybe those of us that do notice the change can feel extra special, because we have some insider knowledge about Ecto Cooler, right? Oh, shut up. It's kind of odd that nowhere on the can itself does it mention that it changes colors. Honestly, it's such a subtle change that I wonder if most people will even notice it. Seeing the Hi-C logo turn from a sickly yellow to a slime green makes Ecto Cooler's glorious return all the sweeter. The can seems to be the most desired one of the two, not just because it contains nearly twice as much of the sweet, ghoulish nectar, but the can itself actually changes colors after having been chilled in your refrigerator for a bit. The 2016 limited release of Ecto Cooler currently comes in two sizes: a small juice box and a standard can. And honestly, who doesn't need a spare cannister of slime in their lives?īut let's get back to the return of Ecto Cooler itself. You can buy it on Amazon if you want some to go with your new new Ecto Cooler. While these promotional Ghostbusters ghost trap packs unfortunately won't be made available to the public, you should know that this exact brand of slime is easy to find, as I've purchased some myself in the past and instantly recognized it. In an instant, my Memorial Day Weekend became Ectorial Day Weekend, and it was nice to see it presented so lovingly in an iconic piece Ghostbusters equipment, oozing with slime that would even make Vigo the Carpathian crack a smile.Īlso included is a generic "Barrel-O-Slime" container, which I thought was a really nice lil' touch. No, your eyes do not deceive you this is indeed a Ghostbusters ghost trap containing a juice box and a can of Ecto Cooler. Now, our favorite liquefied ghost juice has fought a decade-long uphill battle to make its belated encore into our collective gullets, and all it took was a new entry into the Ghostbusters film franchise to make it happen.Ī few months, to kick off Memorial Day Weekend, I received a very special delivery at my door. Will the classic Orbitz beverage make a comeback too? One can only hope. Ecto Cooler is actually back! Well, "back" may not be the appropriate word, since it's still proving to be quite hard for most people to track down, so let's go with "somewhat attainable" for now. ![]() If you haven’t used a Touch Bar before, it essentially comprises two areas: the Control Strip, where you can adjust system settings like volume and brightness, and the App region, which provides dedicated controls for the application currently in focus. The second‑generation Touch Bar is horizontally smaller than the first one used in the previous 13‑inch MacBook Pro, as it thankfully sees the return of a physical Escape key to its rightful place at the top‑left of the keyboard. Like the 16‑inch MacBook Pro, the new 13‑inch model features a second‑generation Touch Bar, the touchable OLED strip that replaces the oh‑so‑passé function keys and incorporates an admittedly handy Touch ID sensor. And although the new keyboard doesn’t have as much travel as the scissor mechanisms of yore, it is, however, a significant enhancement to daily use, offering greater comfort and reliability. As such, one of the improvements users have been waiting for in a new 13‑inch MacBook Pro is the replacement of the unloved Butterfly keyboard mechanism with the newer, more conventional scissor‑based implementation seen first in the 16‑inch MacBook Pro and the latest MacBook Air. Whilst the display is obviously one of the most important components of a laptop, input devices like the keyboard are also significant. However, that review - and indeed, the full August issue of the magazine - can be read online by visiting the Sound On Sound website. Since our recent MacBook Air review included screenshots showing comparisons of these resolutions when running Logic Pro, Cubase Pro and Pro Tools, it seems unnecessary to include them here again. With 2560 x 1600 pixels, the native resolution is identical to other, equivalently sized screens in the MacBook family, offering the same four scaled resolutions. In appearance, the 13‑inch MacBook Pro employs the same dazzling 13.3‑inch Retina display you’d expect from Apple, with 500 nits of brightness, a P3 wide colour gamut, and the marvellously visceral True Tone technology. Sadly, this extra girth doesn’t translate into a larger battery, as it did in the 16‑inch, with the 2020 specifications still detailing a 58W‑hour lithium‑polymer battery. ![]() Available in the usual Space Gray and Silver finishes, the new 13‑inch MacBook Pro shares the same 11.97 by 8.36‑inch dimensions as its predecessor, but is a shade thicker and heavier with a height of 0.62 inches over 0.59, weighing in at 3.1 versus 3.02. Unlike the 16‑inch MacBook Pro, the design and general feature set of the new fifth‑generation 13‑inch Pro has remained largely the same as last year’s model, which had its roots in 2016’s fourth‑generation refresh. And so, on May 4th, Apple announced this much‑anticipated update. Where the 16‑inch model - like the 15‑inch before it - offers Apple’s best in portable performance with a corresponding price tag, and the Air caters to users conscious of pecuniary matters (or those seeking the thinnest form factor), the 13‑inch MacBook Pro has always occupied the gap in between. If the 16‑inch MacBook Pro was too much and the MacBook Air too little, is this latest 13‑inch MacBook Pro just right?įollowing on from last year’s introduction of the 16‑inch MacBook Pro, and this year’s update to the MacBook Air, there was one MacBook in Apple’s line‑up that remained conspicuous in waiting to be refreshed with the company’s latest and greatest technologies: the 13‑inch MacBook Pro. ![]() This particular model easily fits in most desktop builds but might not be applicable for notebook laptops that support thinner single-sided drives. Going over to the design of the ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB drive, we see the Silicon Motion SM12262EN with IMFT 64-Layer TLC NAND Flash and NANYA DDR3 DRAM chip. The SX8200 Pro supports multiple NVMe low power states and has an active rating of 0.33W and a slumber rating of 0.14W. The SMI also improved power consumption with the new SM22626EN controller. This is more than enough for the average gamer or PC enthusiast. The SX8200 Pro comes with a 5-year warranty along with an endurance rating that goes up to 640TBW (terabytes written) for the 1TB model. The controller also brings support for NVMe 1.3 with end-to-end data protection and a RAID Engine for data integrity. Packed with Micron’s 64L 3D TLC, the ADATA SX8200 Pro provides an SMI SM22626En controller giving better performance and more efficiency. The ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro is priced at ₱8640 at PCHub (as of this writing) and performance peaks up to 3.5/GBs Read and 3GB/s Write with Random 4K numbers reaching up to 390,000 IOPS. It is said to be a great alternative to Samsung’s 970 Evo thanks to its price to performance ratio. Thanks to its price to performance ratio, it one of the most recommended m.2 NVMe. With our Design Budget, we have about 28 Build Points. Here is the first real choice that we have for our ship, which is as yet unnamed, we’ll just call it The Sanguine Raider for lack of a better name right now. So, we’ll start with the Tier 4 Sanguine ship! This will afford us 115 Build Points, and an HP increase Step 3: Select a frame Basically since I need to build two versions of this ship, I’ll build the one with more Build Points. This section is going to be a pretty straight forward one for me. Essentially, I want it to be a mystical feeling attack ship. I don’t think I’ll design it for aggressive boarding action as I still want this quest series to be “mostly” good to go for a beginner group and while many new players want to board, I consider boarding actions to be an advanced rule since they appear in SOM. ![]() As far as the real story role I want this ship to fill, is that it was going to eventually be the one of three ship working together to overtake merchant ships. I know I want this to have at least some of the options from SOM, so I’ll be keeping my eye on that throughout my design. I also know that my Sanguine Raiders have a mystical bent, so if there are options to include a more “magical” option, I’ll want to really consider those options as well. With that in mind, tonight I’ll be designing the enemy starship! Designing 6 ships all at once seems like a disservice to the three primary designs, as I feel each one should have my devoted focus. Step 1: ConceptualizeĬoming into this, I know that ultimately I need to design up to 6 starships. For the purposes of this build, what I’ll be doing is lowering the Weapons budget down to 25%, with no more than 10-15% on turrets. As a Budget of course, I can come under that given budget, but it does feel weird that this optional rule is set up in a way that still requires a lot of personal finesse to build starships. Weapons (35%) īy my count, that is the 110%, along with needing to possibly spend BP on unrestricted items.Armor & Defensive Countermeasures (25%).The budget, assumes at least 110% of your BP: As I started my first thought process and flipping through available frames, armor and the like, I discovered something that I still haven’t found a straight solution to. Along with those steps, I will be abiding by the Optional Rule: Design Budgets presented in SOM page 79. The first, I’ll be following the steps in building a starship as laid out in the Starfinder Core Rulebook. Tonight’s design process will utilize two related systems. Luckily, I’ve listened to everything my fellow network members had to say about the SOM on Know Direction: Beyond,as well as Digital Divination, where John talks a lot about his experience designing ships for SOM. One of the big things I took away from John specifically, is that it is really helpful going into the build process considering the role that I want the ship to play in my storytelling. This will be the first time that I will have done more than modifying the Sunrise Maiden for the one other home game that I got to play in for a short time. I’ll admit, most of my Starfinder experience has been through Starfinder Society, and what that means is that I have not had much need in designing my own starships. ![]() ![]() Just as I promised in my last installation, this week I’m taking a short break from writing the actual adventure to showcase the design process of creating a starship that I will need for Quest #4 which will be a starship encounter! I want to utilize some of the new tools we have from the Starship Operations Manual. ![]() Call Texturline helpline at 41 or toll free at 88 and ask for Barry Affleck. If you run into difficulties then, stop and try to understand what the problem is: product too thick, application too thick, product too liquid. That is its inherent beauty and a desired feature that makes Marmorino Venetian Plaster so popular. Therefore, varied shading in the tone of the chosen colour will occur because it is not a solid colour. Protek can custom colour plasters, however, we warn you up front it is plaster, and when polished it has a marble like structure. When polishing white or light colours use a Co Me Bianko trowel made to leave no burn marks on the surface of polished plaster. Finally, Annie used Gloss Chalk Paint Lacquer to protect and give that sheen typical of Venetian Plaster. If the wall is large, you will need more than one person to apply the finish otherwise, you risk leaving unsightly overlapping marks.Ī correct trowel will make all the difference for both application and burnishing. Annie applied the Brass Leaf with Gold Size where the sun hits the wall for added impact and so that the character of the wall develops throughout the day, depending on the light. ![]() Normally, the application should continue until the wall is completely finished. Venetian Plaster comes to us from ancient times, but in this modern day era the possibilities are truly endless for this. To achieve seamless application when moving from one section to the other you need to proceed both horizontally and vertically. ![]() Since the material on your spatula dries out overtime, occasionally you will need to scrape the thickened material off, dispose it, and replace it with fresh plaster. Apply the final coat of Marmorino Plaster in a thin layer to small areas with a medium-sized trowel, in this case less is better. Most people prefer to wait for the second coat to dry completely because of the risk of peeling. plaster is a protective coating applied to walls and ceilings to protect. We suggest applying this additional second coat of Marmorino Plaster especially when the desired finish is to have little texture finish or when you want to achieve a superior, quality job. 2000x1500mm Venetian Plaster seamless texture for architectural drawings and 3D. NOTE: If the application of a second coat does not give you a smooth, even surface, you should apply another coat immediately before the second coat dries. Therefore, it is necessary to work with a light touch, without pressing too hard and maintain a shallow angle with the blade of the trowel. Shiny areas can cause problems when applying successive coats. Always keep in mind that the aim of the 2nd coat o Marmorino Plaster is to lay the smoothest and most uniform surface possible, being careful to avoid creating shiny areas when compressing with the trowel. When the first coat is completely dry, normally after 12 hours, the second coat is carefully applied with a trowel. In this post, we’re going to break them down so that you can make an informed decision on what finish to move forward with within your own home.2nd Coat Coverage: one kilo of Marmorino Plaster does 50 sq. These finishes look a lot alike and to be fair, they are very visually similar but there are some defining differences. We also love that they are eco-friendly, fire retardant, antiseptic, antifungal, and practically orderless. They are finishes we have used in the majority of our projects and continue to use because they create sophistication and visual interest in our designs. These paint finishes instantly add dimension, depth, and warmth to a room without calling too much attention. We’re talking about Limewash, Venetian Plaster, and Roman Clay. Wall finish can make all the difference in a space and there are a few finishes in particular that have taken the world by storm but barely anyone knows how to tell the difference between them, and understandably so.
